Shady Spring 6, James Monroe 3
Shady Spring senior Michael Vecellio continued his goal-scoring ways with four tallies in a 6-3 victory over James Monroe Thursday.
His brother Nathan had two goals and two assists as Shady Spring improved its record to 7-3-1 on the season.
The loss was the second straight for James Monroe, after a 7-0-2 start.
Michael Vecellio also had an assist in the game and his teammates Micah Smith, Luke Mackey and Jacob Shamblin also has assists that set up goal in the victory.
On Tuesday Michael Vecellio had two goals as the Tigers beat Nicholas County 2-0. Shamblin and Like Mackey had assists on the two goals.
Shady Spring will be at Ripley Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Mavericks (7-2-2) will be at Mingo Central Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
