Oak Hill was celebrating the renovation of the Lilly Center/Fred Ferri Jr. Court.

“We preached to the girls this week, ‘Let’s go ahead and get that first win on the new court, don’t let the boys get it,’” Compton, a former player for the Red Devils, said, laughing. “Let’s let us get it.

“We’ve got a new court, a new facility, it was a big win not only for the girls, but the community. Fred Ferri was here (and) coach Ferri was my coach growing up here. So, it’s always nice to have him sit back and watch what we’re doing here.”
