RIPLEY – Oak Hill’s Malachi Lewis scored two rushing touchdowns and that was enough to help Oak Hill knock off Ripley Friday night
All the offense came in the first half and Ripley briefly had the lead in the game 7-6 after Noah Cast’s 2-yard second-quarter run.
But Lewis’ 12-yard score gave Oak Hill a 13-7 lead oit would not lose.
Lewis also scored the game’s first touchdown on a 3-yard run.
J.D. Mauritz led the Red Devils on the ground with 124 yards on 14 carries.
Lewis added 85 yards rushing and he completed 9 of 18 passes for 71 yards.
Oak Hill improved to 4-1 on the season, the Red Devils’ best start since goin 4-1 I nthefirst five games in 2019. That team started 4-0.
Oak Hill is off next week before traveling to Greenbrier East Oct. 6.
